The new Calibration Station is capable of testing and calibrating H901 Sensors, which are utilised when acquiring vibration data on helicopters. Helitune GmbH has received approval as an authorised Helitune Calibration Station after being audited by the Beran Instruments, Engineering Manager.

The German test laboratory is now set-up and fully equipped and includes an air-conditioned test chamber for the Beran 475 / 485 Transcal System. GmbH staff have been trained to the required standard and achieved their qualification at the UK headquarters at the beginning of March 2006.

The new test and calibration lab, combined with increased on-site stock will further improve the service and support capabilities offered at Helitune GmbH. The new equipment will ensure more flexibility in terms of maintenance services and reliable turnaround times for GmbH's largest customer, the German Forces. The Bundeswehr operates more than 100 Rotortuner systems which utilise an average of x4 Accelerometers each. Helitune GmbH maintains all the sensors and corresponding cables under a total care and maintenance contract. This contract includes annual calibration, full functional check and if necessary a repair and / or exchange of the sensor or cable set.
