January 31, 2005

In 2002 Helitune opened its first subsidiary Helitune Germany in Eching near Munich airport in support of the German Forces who are one of Helitune’s largest customers. Now Helitune GmbH has moved its offices to the airfield of Oberpfaffenhofen, 20 km west of Munich, where the business is much closer to its “natural surroundings” of helicopters and maintenance hangars.

On the premises where former aircraft manufacturer Dornier built their small and medium range 328 prop and jet aircraft, the Bell UH-1D helicopter of the German Forces are maintained by service provider RUAG. Helitune equipment is used for track & balancing on the Bell UH-1D and all the other 6 helicopter models currently operated by the German Air Force, Army and Navy.

The German Forces have been using the Rotortuner 5 since 1987 and are now subsequently upgrading to Rotortuner 2000. In early 2004 Helitune GmbH signed a total-care maintenance contract with Germany for the support of all their Rotortuner systems. Together with the ground station RT-Vision, the German Forces possess a powerful and reliable diagnostics tool for optimized maintenance planning.

With its current German team of 4, Helitune GmbH has continuously experienced growth over the two years of its existence and has recently expanded to include repair shop capabilities and local customer support.

Helitune is a leading provider of aircraft vibration monitoring and Rotor Track and Balance (RTB) systems. The company has currently customers in over 30 countries throughout the world and supports 1500 systems through a network agents and distributors.
