To all operators using ‘Cable: Accelerometer Pn. 332001 with any of the following Helitune equipments:
C. Changes/Reason
The ‘Cable: Accelerometer’ Pn. 332001 has been withdrawn from manufacture and is superseded by Cable: Accelerometer Pn 332020-50 whereby the suffix ‘-50’ dictates the cable length measured in feet. ‘Cable: Accelerometer’ Pn.332020-xx benefits from improved manufacturing techniques and EMI shielding properties. Cable Pn.332020-50 has the same Form, Fit and Function as Cable Pn. 332001 and is a direct replacement. No modifications are required to the host Rotortuner system, Accelerometer or junction box connections or operating procedures.
D. Support / Service
Helitune will continue to repair the older cables (Pn. 342001), where cost effective, for the foreseeable future. All replacement cables will be of type Pn. 332020-xx.
E. Compliance / Action
No immediate action is required by customers.
All future Purchase orders for ‘Cable: Accelerometer’ should identify Pn.332020-xx
F. Quality
Relevant Helitune documentation is in the process of being amended to reflect the revised part number. Customers subscribing to the Helitune Amendment Service will receive amendments for Operators Manuals and Application Notes.
