In the late 1970’s the reduction of helicopter rotor induced vibration was the bane of all helicopter engineers, a mystical art practiced by just a few.

This situation created the environment for Noel to conceive the original idea that all aspects of helicopter vibration management, including rotor tracking, balancing and vibration analysis could, with emerging computer technology and digital signal processing, be integrated into a single equipment.

His enthusiasm, originality and perceptiveness resulted in the creation of Helitune Ltd and the ‘Rotortuner’ to turn his ideas into reality. Today we mourn the loss of a true innovator.
