To all operators using ‘Cable: Magnetic Pick-up’ Pn. 342001 with any of the following Helitune equipments:
C. Changes/Reason
The ‘Cable: Magnetic Pick-up’ Pn. 342001, NSN 1730992086970 has been withdrawn from manufacture and is superseded by ‘Cable: Magnetic Pick-up Pn.342010-15m’ whereby the suffix ‘-15m’ dictates the cable length in meters. ‘Cable: Magnetic Pick-up’ Pn 342010-xx benefits from improved manufacturing techniques and improved EMI shielding. Cable Pn. 342010-15m has the same Form, Fit and Function as Cable Pn.342001 and is a direct replacement. No modifications are required to the host Rotortuner system, Magnetic Pick-up or Junction Box connections or system operating procedures.
D. Support / Service
Helitune will continue to repair the older cables (Pn. 342001), where cost effective, for the foreseeable future. All replacement cables will be of type Pn. 342010-xx.
E. Compliance / Action
No immediate action is required by customers. All future Purchase orders for ‘Cable: Magnetic Pick-up’ should identify Pn.342010-xx
F. Quality
Relevant Helitune documentation is in the process of being amended to reflect the revised part number. Customers subscribing to the Helitune Amendment Service will receive amendments for Operators Manuals and Application Notes.
G. Approval
