The upgrade involves changes to the pitch control mechanism, different bearings and replacement of the tail rotor blades. ECD hopes to improve the wear and tear behaviour with this modification.

Helitune are working with ECD to map the dynamic response of the new tail rotor to create a new tail rotor balancing procedure and application software for the Rotortuner 2000. Helitune are constantly striving to refine their application software for reliable and accurate track & balancing.
