Helitune success at NDMA Awards 2018

Helitune are pleased to announce that we were awarded first place at the 21st Annual North Devon Manufacturers Association Awards in the following categories:

‘Best Trainee of the Year’ (Quinten John)

In 6 years, Quinten has completed his ONC, HNC and Apprenticeship in Electronic Engineering, as well as receiving numerous Apprenticeship awards. He is now completing a degree in Digital and Technology Solution at the University of Exeter, and is pursuing a career in Project Management, having recently led a successful 8-month project for Helitune

‘Innovation of the Year’ (Helitune – EVOLVE)

Helitune, in collaboration with XMOS Limited, Queen Mary University of London, University of Bristol, have developed a distributed sensor network for helicopter health monitoring. The system  enables real-time monitoring and can save routine checks needed for helicopters every 25 to 50 hours, which will signifcantly reduce the operational costs and improve the availability of aircraft.

‘Exporter of the Year’ (Condition Monitoring Group)

Helitune, along with sister companies Beran Instruments, Prosig and SEI form Conditioning Monitoring Group (CMG). CMG export 65% of their products against large global multinationals and have collaborated with large corporations to generate products that are needed within the industry.


Helitune also received ‘Runner-Up’ for:

‘Team of the Year’ - For outstanding efforts in achieving critical delivery deadlines in spite of ‘The Beast from the East’!
